As an all-round metalworker in the field, you will have a varied job involving welding and mechanical work on all installations, (earth-moving) machines, trucks, and crushers belonging to the Theo Pouw Group. You will work both in the field and in the construction workshop in Utrecht (PCU).
What are you going to do?
Every day, you will travel by service bus to perform all-round welding work on installations and equipment at our site in Utrecht or other Theo Pouw Group locations. You will do this to ensure that all business activities, such as transport, sand washing installations, and rubble crushers, continue to run optimally. You will do this by:
- Installation work for steel structures;
- Performing maintenance and repairs;
- Replacing wear parts.
We work at the PCU from Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
What are we asking?
You are good with your hands and a real go-getter. You find it easy to collaborate and communicate with colleagues, and you are always willing to learn and develop yourself further. You also bring the following to the table:
- At least 2 years of work experience in a similar position or a completed metalworking education;
- Preferably, you have experience with machine bench work, arc welding, MIG/MAG welding, bearing knowledge, or tinkering with earth-moving machines.
- Technical insight;
- Driver's license B.

A contract for 40 hours per week for 7 months with the prospect of permanent employment. We participate in the collective labor agreement for professional goods transport. This means you can also count on:
- Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer, from 10 kilometers one way with a maximum of 50 kilometers per day;

Who are we?
PCU is the Theo Pouw Groep's construction workshop. From our construction workshop in Utrecht, we weld and carry out assembly work with around 10 colleagues on our fleet of vehicles and machinery, containers, and production installations, among other things.
