All-round metalworker

As an all-around metalworker, you’ll have a varied job performing welding and mechanical work on all of the Theo Pouw Group’s installations, (earthmoving) machines, trucks, and crushers. You’ll be working at the fabrication shop in Utrecht (PCU).

What are you going to do?

As an all-round metalworker, you will ensure that the machines and structures function reliably again, so that our business activities in transport, the sand washing plant, and the rubble crusher can continue safely and efficiently. You will do this by:

• Performing maintenance and repairs;
• Replacing wear parts;
• Repairing excavator buckets, container buckets, sand grapples, and demolition attachments;
• The manufacture, assembly, and disassembly of construction components on site.

We work at the PCU from Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What are we asking?

You are good with your hands and a real go-getter. You find it easy to collaborate and communicate with colleagues, and you are always willing to learn and develop yourself further. You also bring the following to the table:

• At least 2 years of work experience in a similar position or a completed metalworking education;
• Technical insight;
• Driver's license B;
• Preferably, you have experience with machine bench work, arc welding, MIG/MAG welding, bearing knowledge, or tinkering with earth-moving machines.

A contract for 40 hours per week for 7 months with the prospect of permanent employment. We participate in the collective labor agreement for professional goods transport. This means you can also count on:

• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer, from 10 kilometers one way with a maximum of 50 kilometers per day;

Who are we?

PCU is the Theo Pouw Group’s main fabrication shop. From our fabrication shop in Utrecht, we perform welding and assembly work with a team of approximately 10 colleagues on projects including our fleet of vehicles and machinery, containers, and production facilities.
